Here we grow again!
Oh, you guys...some of the comments on my last post are just too clever!! Can't fool you! But I would still love that video even if I wasn't pregnant right now...
Yes, we are expecting another baby! Our new addition is expected to arrive at the beginning of November (the 3rd is my estimated due date, but our babies never arrive on time)
I am almost into my 12th week, and all my nausea has disappeared...just feel really tired by late afternoon now. The best part now is that I've been having such wild, vivid dreams! We are thankful that I feel healthy and we are very excited about all the wonderful things that the Lord has blessed us with! New province, new job, new house, new baby...WOW!
Robyn is over the moon with excitement, and Lydia keeps wanting to look down my shirt to see the baby. She loves babies and always takes great care of her dolls, so we are certain that she will be a great little helper! Robyn takes every opportunity to tell people that her Mom has a baby in her tummy...even people at the grocery store!
People have been asking if we are worried that this baby will have the same mitochondrial disease that our daughter Rachel passed away from at the age of 10 weeks (it is a genetic disease and there is a 1 in 4 chance of our babies being born with it) Of course it always looms in the back of our minds, but we know that to worry is in vain... why put yourself, your baby and your family through 9 months of worrying? What good does it do? We can pray to God to bless us with a healthy baby, and we have been fervently doing that. Rachel's illness and death was the most difficult and painful thing we have ever had to face, and we have been asking God not to put our baby and us through it again, but we know that He does not give us anything we can't handle, and that everything is in His hands. So...we put our trust in God and pray. And we will thank Him for blessing us with the gift of life no matter what happens.
On Wednesday I get to hear the baby's heartbeat, if my own isn't too loud (: Looking forward to that!
As the video said, let the "stretchening" begin!!
