Just incredible
We have been hearing about this sinkhole and have been seeing a few side shots of it, but these are the best photos we've seen...just incredible. It shows the depth of the hole and the real scale of it. It is 330 feet deep...that's as high as the escarpment in Hamilton, I think! The link tells you a bit more about it, in case you don't know what I'm talking about...click on it to see the rest of the photos, too.

That's too creepy... boy did my fear of heights kick in looking at those photos!
Wow that is amazing. Bit scary though.
yah, my stomach just dropped looking at those photos. It's hard to imagine something like that happening ......doesn't it remind you of Dathan and Abiram from the OT? .......... conversely, it's also a movie waiting to be made. Imagine the trailer ...."a dozen homes swallowed by the earth in a gigantic hole! Survivors clinging to the side ....." oh boy ...imagination on overdrive.
wow that is really scary!
that is incredible and yes a tad scary. The world is an amazing place that is for sure.
Kath
