"Family Resort" time
Instead of going to Harrison Hot Springs, like we have done as a family in the past few years, we decided to spend a week at my parent's house, heating their pool to a comfortable temperature, so that even the adults would go in! We had campfires, the kids all slept in one room (and therefore had very little sleep!), we had a movie night, played games, did crafts, had special breakfasts (like home made, mile-high waffles), went out for Chinese (15 of us!) and had a great time relaxing and being together. The kids were in the pool from morning 'till we forced them out at night. Robyn even jumped off the diving board, did somersaults underwater and handstands! Seems like only yesterday my sister and I were doing the same thing. We lived in that pool as kids! *sigh*
I don't have permission from my siblings to post photos of their kids (or themselves), but here are a few of our girls, and of us having fun in the pool. Nick was at school most of the week and joined us in the late afternoon/evening, but there was one day that we forced him to take a break from school and renovating, and just do nothing. Nick is one of those uncles that is lots of fun to have around...the kids loved to get him with their water bazookas, and even made him fall in, clothes and all! He made excellent fires for roasting, and even rigged up a water slide for the kids! Great fun.

what a great way to spend a holiday. we quite often just head to my parents house instead of the lake as they have a hottub that they cool down and the kids have a blast palying in there. They too have to be dragged out to eat and such.
